Job Summary

A well-established secondary school in the Lambeth area is seeking an organised and proactive HR & Staff Compliance Administrator to join its dedicated support team. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring safer recruitment staff records and HR processes are managed accurately and efficiently supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

The Role

Working closely with the School Business Manager and senior leadership team you will take responsibility for staff administration and compliance. This includes managing recruitment documentation maintaining the Single Central Record coordinating pre-employment checks and supporting contract administration for teaching and support staff.

Youll play a key role in ensuring the school remains fully compliant with safeguarding and employment regulations while also providing practical HR support to colleagues across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the Single Central Record and staff personnel files

  • Coordinating safer recruitment checks and onboarding processes

  • Supporting recruitment administration and interview scheduling

  • Issuing contracts amendments and staff documentation

  • Liaising with external agencies and HR providers

  • Responding to staff HR and compliance queries

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in HR or administrative roles ideally within education or a regulated environment

  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Understand safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements

  • Communicate confidently and professionally
