Whats the role

Were looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Associate / Senior Associate to join our Credit & Capital team within Westpac Institutional Bank. Youll help support regulatory compliance and improve how we manage credit risk across the business including the simplification of the credit policy framework.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the 1st line central credit function leveraging data systems and engaging stakeholders to make the process smarter and more efficient. Youll be a key part of a team thats driving change and helping the business meet its credit and capital obligations.

This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney.

What do I need

To thrive in this role youll need:

  • An understanding of credit risk in institutional or commercial banking
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards like APSand 113
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams
  • Confidence working with systems and data to support decision-making
  • Desire to be involved in simplifying processes and transforming the credit journey in WIB.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
