Job Summary
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of coding experience in Interventional Radiology. Surgery coding as additional requirement.
- Oncology specialty coding experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM CPT and HCPCS codes for Interventional Radiology procedures with complexity Level 1 2 3 exposure.
- Review clinical documentation to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to clarify documentation and coding queries.
- Maintain high accuracy and productivity standards while meeting turnaround times.
- Stay updated on coding regulations payer policies and specialty-specific changes.
Qualifications:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification. CIRC
- Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology related to Interventional Radiology and Oncology.
- Familiarity with coding softwares of EPIC 3M CAC and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Oncology coding experience in ICD Diagnosis and Procedure coding Modifiers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
