The program also provides professional services in an effective innovative and fair manner that instills public confidence while fulfilling duties that ensure accurate revenue collection and reporting from licensees protect the states assets and ensure the integrity of all gaming devices and systems by enforcing compliance with all state laws regulations and licensees internal controls related to legally authorized gaming in Louisiana.
Responsibilities
The Operations Section oversees and regulates licensed casinos and gaming establishments located throughout Louisiana. The Section is responsible for processing and investigating applicants for licensure or permitting in the local Casino Gaming and Video Poker industries. It also enforces laws rules and regulations under the Gaming Statutes found in L.R.S. Title 27.
These establishments include licensed Riverboat Casinos the Land-Based Casino in New Orleans Slots at the Horse Racetracks and Video Poker locations. The Operations Section has field offices statewide in Baton Rouge New Orleans Breaux Bridge Lake Charles and Bossier City.
Four years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any area plus one year of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR
An associates degree plus two years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR
A bachelors degree plus one year of information technology or electronic technician experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any area. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any area.

Job Duties:
Project a positive image of the Department of Public Safety through courteous professional and effective service to our clients on every level while complying with Departmental rules policies and procedures.
Complete system certifications monthly per assigned property (choosing from SMS modules Electronic Table Game system progressive table slot systems or other regulated systems installed at casino).
Ensure SMS account login credentials are maintained and accessible by coordinating with casino IT personnel as needed.
Complete random EGD inspections each month minimum 8 EGDs per inspection using Genuine Authentication Terminals (GAT) or viewing security events on slot monitoring system.
Create Mark43 entries as required each month and include documentation which verifies the slot devices inspected. Documentation must include the following or its equivalent: GAT results or legible photos of GAT results system reports or screenshots which validate inspection process including asset and location numbers or other identifying information in the documentation of devices inspected; ensure licensee is notified electronically of revoked software within 5 business days of findings.
Respond to licensee requests for all installs removals upgrades and conversions of all Electronic Gaming Devices Slot Systems Sportsbook Systems and Kiosks and all other electronic gaming equipment in a timely manner; ensure authorizations instructions or other correspondence with properties is written in a complete and concise manner. Post monthly statistics by the 5th of the following month in which the activity was created.
Properly communicating with all Gaming Enforcement Gaming Auditors and Gaming Technical Division team members and licensee personnel by ensuring an open line of communications.
Ensure all state equipment is maintained and updated in the proper manner; assist the Gaming Technical Supervisor and regional leadership with inventory control.
Communicate and assist as needed with other section personnel (Gaming Technical Audit and Enforcement) and provide notification of significant slot or system related issues to applicable parties.
Assist with procedures for implementations of new games and equipment and review internal controls and provide feedback as needed to ensure proper technical controls are in place.
All other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to support the agency.

Work Schedule:This position will require rotating shift work (days evenings or overnight) to include some weekends and holidays
Compensation:The minimum salary for this position is $1923.20/biweekly.
