Supervisor Technical Lab

• Responsible for the management and development of staff. Provides oversight to and is accountable for quality and service Description regulatory compliance work unit safety strategic planning document management financial management and developing and implementing new services.
• Works cooperatively with a wide variety of customers as well as internal and external resources. Completes special projects as assigned by the laboratory consultant/director(s) administrator and/or operations manager(s).

Clinical Laboratory and Histology:
Bachelors degree or a masters degree in a chemical physical biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology with at least one year of training and/or experience in high complexity testing. The general supervisors training and experience must be in the designated discipline or area of service for which the individual is responsible. Four years of laboratory experience required.

HLA Laboratory:
Have earned a doctoral masters or bachelors degree in a chemical physical biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution; and have at least three years of laboratory training or experience in human immunogenetics human histocompatibility and/or human transplantation immunology testing under the supervision of a director and/or technical supervisor of an ASHI-accredited or an equivalent ARB approved laboratory. Four years of laboratory experience after obtaining the qualified degree.

Molecular Pathology:
Bachelors degree in a chemical biological medical/clinical laboratory science with at least 4 years of experience (including 2 years in high complexity testing 1 of which is in molecular pathology methods).

Certifications and License:

ASCP certification or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty.
Clinical Laboratory MLS/MT (ASCP) or equivalent required.
Histology HT or HTL (ASCP) or equivalent required.
HLA - Certified Histocompatibility Technologist: CHT(ACHI) required.
