Job Summary

We are looking for an Emergency Medical Assistant (EMA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team in Dargaville!

This is a permanent opportunity working an average of 42 hours on a DDNN roster.

In this role you will: 

  • Work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer
  • Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care
  • Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
  • Complete other relevant administrative tasks. 

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A current St John Authority to Practice at First Responder or EMT
  • Demonstrated excellent operational and clinical performance to date
  • Excellent driving record
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated being an excellent team player
  • Evidence of CCE
  • New Zealand citizenship permanent residency or work visa
  • Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St Johns core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika) Side by Side (Tū Tahi) Straight Up (Mahi Pono) Make it better (Whakapai Ake) Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
