Job Summary

As a part of Chevron Midstream Supply and Trading (S&T) operate Chevrons global supply and trading business. S&T is the commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals (DS&C).

Commercial Scheduling and Logistics (CS&L) is part of the Supply and Trading organization and is responsible for trading operations for crude refined products and natural gas including cost optimization and commercial management across all transportation modes.

CS&L applies its knowledge of transportation logistics to manage the lifecycle of trade once it has been executed including managing credit risk and inventories to maximize the value of enterprise assets and enable the commercial success of Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals.

The Relief Scheduler supports the CS&L Natural Gas Pipeline team by providing seamless coverage across scheduling desks. This role ensures continuity of operations during planned and unplanned absences including 9/80s vacations and special assignments. The Relief Scheduler plays a critical role in maintaining accurate nominations optimizing transportation and storage logistics and supporting trading operations across S&Ts trading operations. This role requires advanced scheduling proficiency strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to lead and influence process improvements across the pipeline logistics function.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Pipeline Scheduling: Execute nominations and confirmations on both intrastate and interstate pipelines ensure timely and accurate gas flow provide strategic coverage across desks including Permian and non-Permian assets ensuring seamless transitions and operational continuity

  • Optimize transportation and storage contracts to maximize commercial value

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in scheduling systems (Endur EBBS EDI); mentor junior schedulers on day-to-day scheduling activities such as quality control loss prevention and intraday volume balancing

  • Collaborate with trading production and finance teams to align scheduling with commercial strategies

  • Support optimization initiatives and best practices. Participate in and identify process improvement initiatives including automation and data integration projects aimed at reducing manual data entry and improving system integration

  • Engage with internal and external industry experts and maintain strong relationships and lines of communication

  • Champion incident-free operations and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of natural gas scheduling experience with demonstrated expertise scheduling across multiple desks regulatory frameworks and in complex environments

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train others and work across diverse teams

  • Expertise in gas scheduling systems and regulatory frameworks

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering business results

  • Demonstrated communication influencing and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficiency with Endur (energy trading and risk management program) and/or other relative trade capture systems

  • Familiarity with EBBs of major pipelines. Knowledge of TETCO and/or Permian pipelines is a plus
