- Checkpoint and coordination with payroll processing vendor ensuring employees are paid accurately and timely according to local regulations.
- Booking invoices and GL entries related to payroll and benefits.
- Ensuring compliance with social security state and federal payroll taxation and social security audits. Work directly with government on requests and audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with internal approval policies for payroll disbursements.
- POC for inquiries from employees regarding payroll calculations.
- POC for resolving local matters with social security state and federal labor agencies
- Monitor the IMSS Annual Audit.
- Monitor the filing of the Occupational Risk Declaration (4 Employer Registrations).
- Prepare documentation for the monthly Mexican accounting close.
- Collaborate in the collection of documentation for the Annual Tax Audit.
- Manage the Corporate Food Voucher account. Register invoices and collect supporting documents for food coupons and Corporate incentives.
- Account for payroll Christmas bonus profit sharing severance pay and final settlements.
- Monitor and process paperwork with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) the National Housing Fund Institute (INFONAVIT) the National Fund for Workers Consumption (FONACOT) the State Government and the Mexico City Social Security Institute (ISN CDMX) (sporadically and often online or with external support).
- Prepare and send reports to Corporate (in English).
- Communicate spoken and written in English (B1/B2)
- Participate in digitization and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications :
- Accounting graduate with at least 1 year experience in general accounting and 1 year in Payroll processing.
- B1 or above English level.
- Work Location: Remote from any city within the Monterrey metropolitan area (Monterrey San Nicolás de los Garza Guadalupe Juárez Escobedo or Santa Catarina).
- Willingness to attend in-person appointments or errands at Social Security state and federal offices as required in connection with labor and employment matters when needed.
- Between 50 and 100 Employees payroll processing experience.
- Strong and robust understanding of payroll taxes social security and social benefits calculations.
- Computer-literate in Payroll softwares. ERP Accounting preferred.
- Excellent Excel skill ( Pivot Tables filters etc.).
- Having own transportation is an advantage.
- Experience working in an American multinational company is a plus.
