Job Summary

UX Designer


Kneat enables regulated organizations to move from paper-based validation to intelligent digitized paperless solutions. And we do it through the ongoing development of a powerful purpose-built software 2014 after 8 years of intensive software development we launched the worlds most advanced validation software to help revolutionize the speed precision transparency and intelligence of validation in the Life Sciences sector. The solution is now used by some of the worlds leading Life Sciences companies.

As Kneat continues to expand we are looking for a UX Designer with a strong background in designing user-centric complex web applicationsideally within the life sciences industry. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on simplifying complexity understands scientific workflows and can translate intricate data into intuitive elegant interfaces.


Youll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to enhance user experiences in regulated and data-driven environments. Experience with AI-powered interfaces or tools is a plus as we continue to explore intelligent solutions that support scientific decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

1. Interaction & Visual Design:

Design wireframes mockups and prototypes that reflect user needs while adhering to industry standards.

Create user flows and interaction patterns for highly complex workflows ensuring scalability and ease of use.

Develop intuitive information architecture for navigating dense data-heavy applications.


2. Collaboration with Teams:

Partner with product managers developers and data scientists to align user experience with business goals and technical constraints.

Advocate for the user while balancing the nuances of regulatory compliance and scientific accuracy.

Provide input during Agile development cycles to ensure the implementation aligns with design specifications.


3. Design System & Standards:

Maintain and evolve a design system that ensures consistency across the web application.

Leverage and contribute to the creation of reusable UI components specific to scientific workflows.


4. Data Visualization & Scientific Understanding:

Design interfaces that effectively present complex data visualizations charts and analytics in user-friendly formats.

Ensure designs support high-level decision-making in scientific and regulatory contexts.


Requirements


Essential Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in UX Design Human-Computer Interaction Interaction Design or a related field.

35 years of experience as a UX Designer ideally in life sciences healthcare or similarly complex domains.

Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma Sketch Adobe XD or Axure.

Strong portfolio showcasing complex web application designs including data-rich dashboards and multi-step workflows.


Skills & Competencies

Deep understanding of usability principles accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and responsive design.

Experience designing for complex systems with significant data and regulatory requirements.

Ability to create data visualizations and interactive elements that are intuitive and insightful.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps and Jira.

Knowledge of HTML/CSS principles for effective collaboration with developers (coding skills not required but a plus).

Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to advocate for design decisions.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the life sciences domain such as biotechnology pharmaceuticals or healthcare IT.

Knowledge of FDA or EMA guidelines related to software design and usability.

Exposure to or experience designing for AI-powered tools or workflows (e.g. predictive analytics intelligent assistants or machine learning interfaces).
