YWCA is currently seeking a Supportive Housing Manager to lead and support an effective Supportive Housing team that delivers high-quality and consistent services to YWCA participants while maintaining the safety and security of YWCA Cass Clay housing properties and participants.
Job Duties:
Leadership
Train coach and supervise a high-performing Supportive Housing Team.
Provide thorough training and orientation for new and current team members.
Maintain open communication with team members including regular one-on-one check ins and team meetings.
Oversee collection of participant data record keeping outcome tracking and timely reporting.
Work closely with Housing leadership to ensure consistency and alignment with YWCA standards of care.
Support professional development of Supportive Housing staff by identifying training needs and providing constructive feedback.
Safety and Security
Maintain the safety and security of Supportive Housing facilities ensuring staff consistently follow established safety and emergency protocols.
Deliver services with safety respect and effectiveness while prioritizing participant and staff well-being.
Ensure building manuals and safety procedures are updated and implemented.
Provide oversight for safety security and maintenance needs in collaboration with property management partners.
Operations
Develop and manage monthly staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and program continuity.
Maintain Supportive Housing program documents and communicate updates or procedural changes to staff.
Ensure policies and procedures for all programs are developed updated and enforced in partnership with Housing leadership.
Coordinate with community and program partners to support effective collaboration communication and overall program operations.
Support communication and reporting with funders and participate in site visits audits and program evaluations as needed.
Oversee collection of participant data record keeping outcome tracking and timely reporting.
Oversee cleanliness and organization of program locations including maintaining adequate supplies and equipment.
Monitor program expenses to ensure costs are reasonable allowable and within approved budgets.
Crisis Response
Provide immediate and professional response to emergencies or crises within Supportive Housing programs.
Train and prepare staff for a wide range of crisis situations including participant safety concerns emergency evacuation intruders or facility incidents.
Coordinate with Supportive Housing staff and external emergency responders as needed to manage crises effectively.
Develop an understanding of participant safety needs factoring all known considerations into service planning and crisis response.
Communication
Maintain dignity respect and confidentiality in all interactions with YWCA participants staff and partners.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support participant needs and ensure coordinated service delivery.
Communicate with participants in a trauma-informed culturally responsive and respectful manner upholding confidentiality at all times.
Act as a liaison between housing staff members by ensuring critical incidents are addressed appropriately and information is clearly communicated across the team.
Other Job Duties
Represent YWCA at community events and serve on committees on behalf of the organization.
Assume duties required of YWCA Program Director as needed.
Prompt and reliable attendance is required.
Provide current certification in CPR and First Aid.
Participate in on-call rotation.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences (i.e. social work CDFS sociology criminal justice human services etc.) field or equivalent education/experience is required.
Understanding unique challenges for those experiencing domestic violence homelessness human trafficking mental illness and chemical dependence and child development issues is essential.
Experience supervising staff or volunteers in a shelter residential or human services setting preferred.
Ability to manage high volume of work.
Must have excellent oral written and interpersonal communications skills.
Must have valid drivers license and maintain appropriate auto insurance. Must be able to travel off site as needed.
Meets all background check requirements.

Requirements:
These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position. While performing the responsibilities for this position the employee is required to sit stand walk climb stairs bend push carry and drive frequently. The employee will also be required to twist at waist squat kneel stoop crouch and reach overhead occasionally. Standing in place and sitting at desk for prolonged periods of time are performed occasionally. Repetitive keying data entry wrist motion and reaching above shoulders are performed frequently. Lifting up to 40 lbs. from shoulder to overhead is occasional carrying and pulling up to 75 lbs. is performed frequently and pushing up to 75 lbs. is performed frequently.
