Senior Principal Messaging Engineer (Email)

Peraton is seeking a Senior Principal Messaging Engineer (Email) in Washington D.C. who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Providing senior principal messaging engineering expertise in the configuration of cloud-based email systems and on-premise messaging systems operating on the latest generation hardware and hypervisors with a high level of expertise in optimizing the email system hypervisor and hardware with the ability to integrate with external IT systems in a geographically dispersed highly available architecture to achieve peak performance for a high-demand user base.
• Utilizing common automation technologies where possible to optimize and create efficiency in the work center. These technologies include PowerShell Bash Ansible Python and others as appropriate
• Providing support within Government approved timeframes for upgrades vulnerability management and break-fix actions

Required:

• Requires an active TS/SCI

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; 4 additional years of relevant experience can be substituted for degree

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience supporting systems of similar size scope and complexity

• Demonstrated experience with configuration management systems vulnerability management software management operating systems deployment IT asset management on-premise hybrid and cloud-based environments
• Demonstrated experience in managing maintaining monitoring troubleshooting and updating configuration management systems. Automation and orchestration the maintenance and monitoring of these systems and integrating new solutions
• DoD 8140 IAT II compliant

Preferred:

• Certifications in order of preference:
• Azure or AWS Administrator
• Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (retired in 2021)
