Job Summary
Firewater is looking for a webmaster/WordPress Developer extraordinaire that has a keen eye for detail and a love for digital technologies. We are looking for someone who uses the internet for something other than drunken photos relentless hashtags and trolling. Job responsibilities:
- Being an oracle for website technical scoping and planning
- Implementation of websites including e-commerce and landing page builds (Primarily WordPress HTML PHP CSS JS)
- Website maintenance & upgrades
- Website and newsletter content publication
- Debugging bug fixing QA and reporting
- Onsite SEO optimisation
- Website deployment
- Client training on CMS & EDM platforms
Requirements
Experience in/knowledge of:
- HTML CSS JS jQuery PHP Git etc.
- sFTP/FTP cPanel WHM Plesk and / or other hosting control panel
- Writing and modifying WordPress custom themes Plugins and functions
- MySQL & SQL databases
- Visual Studio and other IDEs
- Linux & Cloud Computing
- Various content management systems
- Working with ticketing/helpdesk systems
- Adobe Photoshop (basics) or equivalent image editor
- Dodging and throwing of paper wads frisbees and tantrums
- Use of social media platforms including management and reporting tools
- SEO software (SEMRush Ahrefs GTMetrics Google Suite of products and others)
- Logging of times
- Logical approach to projects & tasks
- Understanding of website architecture and content placement
- Extreme keen eye for detail and aesthetics down to the last pixel
- Excellent grammar and spelling (English)
- Sound communication skills
- Team player
- Driven and motivated to complete work at all costs
- Disciplined with time management and recording
