Role description:

Play a key role delivering tech sector mega-projects.

We are looking for an experienced Associate Mechanical Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. You will play a key role in delivering one of our biggest data centre construction projects.

Role accountabilities:

Youll be responsible for managing all stages of hyperscale data centre construction projects taking projects through pre-construction construction and close out/fit-up.

Day-to-day this includes but is not limited to:

Pre-construction

  • Working with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget
  • Supporting Contractor pre-qualification bid solicitation bid analysis and recommendations
  • Supporting contract negotiations
  • Assisting the client and the Clients team in identifying scoping buying-out and scheduling of all Owner-direct vendors and consultants

Construction

  • Managing the General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground
  • Coordinating Value Engineering efforts during the construction phase
  • Working with the Clients commercial and PCG team to develop Budget Management and Tracking
  • Liaising with the Clients schedule management team to provide Schedule monitoring tracking and analysis

Close out/Fit up

  • Initiating close out process prior to project completion typically two to three months in advance
  • Establishing close out documentation requirements with the Clients document controller. Collect and track receipt of all close out documents until completion including warranties as-builts O&M manuals etc.
  • Assisting with City and/or other Authority final inspections and occupancy process.
  • Assisting the Client in scheduling coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors consultants.

  • An in-depth understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques.
  • Ability to manage technical disciplines.
  • Experience working on Data Centre new build and refurbishment projects preferably on hyperscale builds would be advantageous
  • Ability to commit to significant international travel
