Job Summary
General Manager New Opening (City Centre Birmingham)
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Salary: Circa 50000 per annum performance bonus
Hours: Full-time Approx. 48 hours per week
We are recruiting a General Manager to lead a high-profile restaurant opening in Birmingham city centre operated by an established group behind Michelin- and AA-accredited venues.
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced hospitality operator who combines strong floor presence with commercial control. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences across breakfast lunch and dinner while building and leading a high-performing front-of-house team.
The Role
As General Manager you will take full ownership of the day-to-day operation brand standards and commercial performance of the restaurant.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading front-of-house operations across all services
Recruiting training and developing a strong FOH management and service team
Owning P&L performance labour planning budgets and cost controls
Working closely with the Head Chef to deliver seamless service and strong guest feedback
Ensuring compliance with health & safety licensing and company standards
Driving bookings repeat business and guest engagement
Acting as the on-site ambassador for the brand and guest experience
About You
Proven experience as a General Manager or senior Restaurant Manager in quality-led hospitality
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets margins and KPIs
A confident visible leader with a natural presence on the floor
Highly organised calm under pressure and solutions-focused
Passionate about service food and building great teams
Flexible to work evenings weekends and peak trading periods
Right to work in the UK
