Role overview
As a Junior SEO Executive you will join our SEO and wider Digital Marketing team to help improve CMCs organic search visibility publish content through our CMS drive qualified traffic and support our conversion goals.
In this hands-on role you will contribute to executing SEO strategies across on-page off-page technical content digital PR and CRO. You will collaborate with content product and technology teams monitor performance and build your expertise in SEO best practices within a regulated financial services environment.
This position is ideal for someone with 12 years of experience (or equivalent) who is eager to grow experiment and make a real impact.
Key responsibilities
Create and publish landing pages blog posts and other website content within our CMS (Contentful) ensuring SEO best practices are applied
Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
Upload and optimise content including meta titles and descriptions headings image alt text internal linking and formatting
Collaborate with content writers to optimise articles and align with SEO strategy
Perform regular site audits (technical checks such as crawl errors site speed mobile-friendliness and broken links) and flag issues to engineering teams
Support off-page SEO and link-building initiatives including monitoring backlink profiles
Track and report SEO performance (rankings organic traffic impressions CTR conversions) using Google Analytics Google Search Console and other tools
Stay current with algorithm updates trends tools and industry best practices with a focus on financial services SEO
Assist with A/B testing and SEO experiments to improve site performance
Partner with product UX and engineering teams to embed SEO into new launches and website enhancements
Skills and qualifications
Essential
Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Marketing Communications Digital Media or a related field
12 years experience in SEO digital marketing or related internships/projects
Experience using SEO tools such as Google Search Console Google Analytics Keyword Planner SEMrush or Ahrefs
Basic understanding of HTML CSS and site architecture principles
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data identify trends and draw insights
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise manage time effectively and work across multiple projects
Desirable
Experience or interest in financial services fintech or regulated industries
Familiarity with Contentful or other CMS platforms
Exposure to SEO A/B testing
Understanding of JavaScript and performance optimisation techniques
Knowledge of outreach and link-building strategies
Awareness of digital compliance and regulatory considerations within financial services
