The Department is seeking (1) dedicated and experienced Administrative Specialist.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Specialist are the following:
- Coordinate the hiring of Graduate Assistants Part-Time Instructors and Adjunct Professors; receives compiles and completes required hire paperwork; submits final documents to Business Manager for approval to forward on to Deans Office: and monitors the hiring process through completion.
Works with Business Manager to resolve HR matters i.e. payroll ADP time iCollege access etc. for PTs and GRA/GTAS.
- Authorizes students in BANNER for departmental courses troubleshoots registration problems; and assists with unit course authorizations and intern placements
- Coordinates comprehensive examinations to include communicating with students & faculty reserving space and Issuing equipment as needed.
Collects exams reports and follows-up with faculty in a timely manner after completion of exams.
- Maintains student admission database; sans students forms and submits original documents to the Office of Academic Assistance; assists faculty with reporting grades incompletes and graduation resolutions
- Collects departmental syllabi and maintains files on departmental shared drive disseminates information to Deans Office.
Works with Chair to develop a staggered semester class schedule that offers major and elective courses annually coincides with the program of study course requirements and does not conflict with students ability to graduate on time.
- Communicates information to faculty regarding academic deadlines - registration/adjustment periods drop/add grades etc.
Maintains historical data for enrollment and course offerings to assist with developing a variety of reports that assist management with making decisions on what courses are offered and when.
- Serves as departmental liaison to the Deans Office Office of Academic Assistance and the Registrars Office to resolve registration problems.
Works with Chair on special projects.
