Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team in Petworth United Kingdom. As a Catering Assistant you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional food service and ensuring guest satisfaction in our dynamic catering environment.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist in food preparation and presentation as directed by the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen and dining areas
- Set up and break down dining areas including tables chairs and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service operations
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously
- Adhere to all health safety and food service regulations
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Support special events and catering functions as needed
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
Qualifications :
- Genuine passion for food service and customer satisfaction
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and challenges
- Physical stamina to stand walk and carry items for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Previous experience in food service or catering is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and grow within the organization
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as required
