Role and Responsibility
- Supporting projects to deploy automated systems for manufacturing processes providing subject matter expertise for programming debugging and troubleshooting robotic and automated systems.
- Providing technical expertise for Robotic and automated systems programming Write modify and debug Fanuc/UR/ABB robot programs and PLC/HMI/Servo to meet production requirements and improve efficiency.
- Providing troubleshooting for Robotic and automated systems diagnose and troubleshoot issues with robotic systems AGVs including mechanical electrical and programming problems and work with manufacturers to resolve these issues.
- Work closely with MEs and Production team to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Work with the maintenance team to conduct repairs on robots and AGVs as needed.
- Provide basic operation/troubleshoot training to line operators maintenance and MEs.
- Other duties assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechatronics Electrical Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 1 years of related experience
- Strong technical aptitude with a focus on robotics automation and mechatronics.
- Experience programming and integrating robots such as FANUC ABB KUKA or Co-bots into assembly processes/systems.
- AGV Programming and experience is best.
- Intermediate proficiency computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
