This role is responsible for understanding and applying the Construction Quality Management Plan ensuring the quality management system is effectively established implemented and maintained in alignment with project specifications regulatory requirements and industry standards. Also this role
plays a key role in driving strong quality practices leading inspection activities and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence across the project
- Conduct on-site and off-site quality inspections and witness testing activities to verify compliancewith project specifications and Inspection & Test Plans.
- Monitor construction progress and workmanship to promptly identify and resolve quality issues.
- Overseeing testing of materials and structures such as concrete strength tests soil compaction tests and other relevant tests.
- Perform inspections on delivered materials and equipment to confirm conformity with approvedsubmittals and quality standards.
- Ensure all construction activities follow the specified ITPs including the identification andexecution of hold and witness points.
- Maintain review and update comprehensive records of inspections including dates findingstest results and corrective actions.
- Document and report any deviations or Non-Conformances in materials workmanship orprocesses to the Quality Lead.
- Verify that corrective actions for identified Non-Conformances are effectively implemented andclosed.
- Check and verify the certifications qualifications and accreditations of workers subcontractorsand equipment to ensure alignment with project requirements
- Support field teams with immediate feedback and guidance on quality issues ensuring swiftrectification of minor defects before escalation.
- Collaborate with construction teams to promote best practices for quality assurance andcompliance.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Have the qualifications demonstrated by certificates of training and experience on transitconstruction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes materials and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting project specifications drawings and Inspection & TestPlans.
- Experience with quality inspection tools testing methods and documentation practices.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements codes and construction standards.
- Ability to identify document and manage Non-Conformances and corrective actions.
- Clear and professional communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams contractors and stakeholders.
