About This Role

As an Associate Field Engineer you will be crucial to ALCs business through the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated detail oriented and is customer focused. This position is your first introduction into the career of a Field Engineer. You will begin to complete assignments using troubleshooting skills projects will advance in difficultly to develop your skills. The ideal candidate will be a 2024 or 2025 graduate of a Technical Trade school or High School with a focus in HVAC Controls or related field.

As a new Associate Field Engineer you will be a part of our Fast-Track Field Technician Program. This includes a 2 week paid trip to Atlanta Georgia where we will teach you everything you need to perform your new role with excellence. There will also be a number of fun team building activities during the connecting weekend to participate in. The start date of this program will be January 27 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate install troubleshoot and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Offer effective solutions for system issues.
  • Provide turnkey project delivery on small to mid-level projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly to include controls sensors and software.
  • Load software configure trends alarms and reports.
  • Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.
  • Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
  • Valid and current Drivers License and can be insurable by the companys insurance.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC Controls or related field.
  • Interest in Building Automation HVAC controls or related field.
  • Interest in building automation software such as WebCTRL and installing building automation controls.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Working Knowledge with Microsoft 365 applications.
