Job Summary

We Offer

You will partner with and support leaders across our business areas in Oceania on all people-related matters. Beyond driving the local delivery of the annual HR cycle you will coach leaders in building high-performing resilient and diverse teams. You will act as a trusted advisor helping to create inclusive and engaging work environments and guiding leaders in developing their people and teams.
You will join the Area Partnering organization within the People Function and report directly to the Area Head of People Function. You will collaborate closely with the broader People team including Rewards Talent Acquisition and Payroll who will support you with expertise in their respective areas.
This role offers variety and exposure providing a comprehensive understanding of the business in Oceania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders and People teams to implement the People Strategy across the Area.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and act as their main point of contact and advisor on all people matters.
  • Drive the local delivery of the annual HR Cycle including performance management compensation succession planning and development.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation including the Fair Work Act Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Provide expert advice on complex employee relations and industrial relations matters including investigations grievances and disciplinary processes.
  • Collaborate with the Area People team to resolve complex cases and ensure consistent delivery of people processes.
  • Use real-time people insights and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver training and workshops for leadership teams and employees on various People-related topics.
  • Champion diversity equity and inclusion initiatives across the business.

We Are Looking For

  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals including organisational development talent management employee engagement recruitment performance management compensation and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law industrial relations and workplace legislation in Australia.
  • Experience in large international organisations with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and complex ER/IR cases with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Strong facilitation coaching and change management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to deliver results in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • Resilience and a proactive mindset to navigate ambiguity and change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
