The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the Contractor Personnel is assigned Special Requirements: Unit includes L&D and postpartum in the same physical space. For this reason agency staff with LDRP experience are preferred but would consider individuals with LD/LDR experience only. L&D unit houses antepartum and intrapartum patients. This unit has 11 labor rooms and 5 triage rooms. This agency contracts would not be required to work OB triage. The postpartum unit has 15 rooms with 2 additional flex rooms that can be used for labor or PP patients. Postpartum and post-operative GYN patients are bedded in this unit. There are also 5 rooms that be converted into adult med/surg overflow but those patients would be cared for by med/surg staff NOT OB RNs. Patient assignments are based upon patients acuity per AWHONN staffing L&D the nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:1 but could be 1:2 or 1:3 (antepartum and/or cervical ripening) again depending upon patient acuity.
