We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse with Postpartum experience to join our dedicated rural healthcare team in Port Lavaca Texas. The facility is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) designated as Level I for Maternal and Neonatal Care.
This role is ideal for nurses with strong assessment and fetal monitoring (EFM) skills and experience in rural healthcare settings where adaptability and independence are essential. The department typically operates with a two-person team with staff proficient in L&D postpartum and nursery care.
The unit averages 15 20 deliveries per month and uses OBIX as the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Shift: Nights

Contract Length: 14 weeks

Holiday coverage: Required

Active RN license (Texas or Compact)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience

Proficiency in EFM postpartum and nursery care

Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently

BLS / ACLS / NRP / STABLE

AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring

Additional certifications such as CPI ENPC RNC-OB C-EFM or TNCC are a plus
