PrimeTimer Forums is a thriving online community for TV and entertainment fans who love to discuss shows storylines and industry trends. Our members are passionate informed and highly engaged and we are looking for a Forum Moderator who can help foster a fun respectful and lively environment.

If you are someone who loves television understands community dynamics and enjoys guiding conversations in a positive direction this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day conversations to maintain a friendly inclusive and rule-abiding community.
Track discussions across threads identify trends potential issues or opportunities for engagement.
Encourage participation by starting conversations highlighting trending topics and responding to users queries.
Review posts and replies for tone relevance and adherence to guidelines.
Address user-reported issues promptly and escalate critical matters to senior moderators or internal teams when needed.
Assist members with technical or community-related questions (e.g. posting login navigation).
Share insights and recurring user issues with internal teams to help improve the platform and community experience.
Be active during U.S. prime hours (Eastern Time) to ensure real-time moderation and engagement.

Requirements

1 year of experience in Forum Moderation Community Management or Customer Support or a strong passion for online communities.
Excellent written communication skills with empathy clarity and attention to tone.
Strong understanding of community engagement principles and online etiquette.
Ability to remain calm and objective while handling sensitive or heated discussions.
Self-motivated and proactive capable of managing moderation tasks independently during late-night India hours.
Interest in television pop culture and entertainment discussions is highly preferred.
Familiarity with forum platforms (vBulletin Discourse etc.) is a plus.
