Job Summary:
The Government Institutional Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying developing and managing sales opportunities within government departments PSUs defense organizations and other institutional clients. The role requires strong networking skills understanding of tendering processes and the ability to manage complex sales cycles in compliance with government procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue business opportunities within central and state government departments PSUs and other public sector organizations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers procurement officers and institutional clients.
Track and respond to government tenders (GeM CPPP eProcurement portals etc.).
Prepare proposals bids and presentations aligned with RFP/RFQ requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments (technical finance operations) for proposal development and submission.
Negotiate contract terms and pricing to ensure profitability while meeting compliance standards.
Stay updated on government policies procurement guidelines and funding allocations.
Achieve assigned sales targets and ensure consistent pipeline growth.
Represent the company at government trade shows exhibitions and networking events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field (MBA preferred).
Proven experience in institutional or government sales.
Strong understanding of public procurement procedures and documentation.
Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to handle long sales cycles and manage multiple stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with GeM/CPPP portals.
Self-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
