Job purpose

We are seeking a Victim Services Coordinator to join our dynamic well-resourced Youth Justice Service in Enfield. This is an exciting opportunity to support victims of youth crime using a trauma-informed child-first approach ensuring restorative opportunities are available to those affected.

Based in our state-of-the-art co-located facility in Enfield Town youll work alongside Childrens Services and Community Safety colleagues as part of a diverse innovative workforce dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and information to victims of youth crime in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice (VCOP).

  • Develop and deliver victim-focused interventions for children and families across Enfield using a trauma-informed restorative approach.

  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including schools community groups Family Hubs and the Youth Development Service.

  • Offer restorative opportunities (direct and indirect) that promote understanding accountability and positive outcomes for both victims and young people.

  • Maintain accurate records ensure timely data collation and contribute to updates on YJS victim trackers and performance systems.

  • Support the development of community-based interventions and projects that strengthen community safety and cohesion.

  • Work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment contributing to assessments planning and reviews to ensure coordinated support.

  • Represent the Youth Justice Service at relevant meetings forums and partnership events.

  • Demonstrate professional curiosity and sensitivity when engaging with victims ensuring all practice aligns with safeguarding principles and trauma-informed care.

  • Contribute to service development by sharing learning identifying gaps and supporting innovation in victim services delivery.


Requirements

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

  • Evidence of continued professional and personal development relevant to the role.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.

  • Competent IT user with experience in data recording and report writing.

  • Proven experience of working within the criminal justice system victim support services or youth justice settings.

  • Experience delivering individual and group interventions with victims and/or disaffected children and young people.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage supervise and motivate young people to achieve positive behavioural change.

  • Skilled in handling sensitive and traumatic cases conducting interviews and preparing professional reports.

  • Experience of multi-agency partnership working demonstrating collaboration and shared accountability.

  • Proven track record of creating SMART personalised intervention plans responsive to assessed needs.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure manage competing demands and meet deadlines.

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this role
