Responsibilities

  • The Finance Business Partner supports development and drives preparation of strategic plans annual budgets quarterly forecasts and monthly updates.
  • Assess business performance and results against both the annual budget and long-term strategy.
  • Proactively identify and communicate areas for operational and financial improvement within the different business segments.
  • Support and provide guidance to Sales Managers in the formulation of targets that balance new order bookings revenue growth operating profitability for their segments.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization within the functional area. Understand key product line operating metrics and measure functional performance to the established goals.
  • Establish productive working relationships across BioSpin Finance functions as well as within Regional Finance and BRKR Finance to facilitate effective information sharing.
  • Appropriately balance Market segment perspectives in developing forecasts and provide transparency into business drivers risks and opportunities.
  • Provide business insight through the effective use of available tools systems and processes to generate critical financial and operational data.
  • Supply regular and consistent business reports of agreed-to metrics and KPIs to foster visibility and accountability for business results.
  • Make actionable recommendations to the management on strategy and operations using solid planning forecasting predictive analytics and results monitoring.
  • Support the financial planning process on market segment and regional level including quarterly and annual forecasting and results reporting.
  • Improve decision quality through cogent business analysis to identify the best options to enable the BioSpin Group to meet its goals.
  • Contribute to the development of standard financial processes with a focus on implementing common financial processes and practices globally across the Business Group.
  • Monitoring compliance with the global pricing and discount policy. Updating price lists and preparation of regular analysis to monitor continuous margin improvements.
  • Accountable for accuracy of financial results on market segment and regional level in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 8 years work experience in sales controlling for an international manufacturing company; life sciences product technology experience preferred
  • German Language (min. C1) and English Language (min. B2) working knowledge
  • SAP FI/CO
  • Advanced MS-Office proficiency
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP general and cost accounting
  • Excellent verbal written quantitative technical interpersonal communication and presentation skills required
  • Strong numerical skills with successful track record of analytical thinking financial modeling and business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize structure and manage multiple deliverables; work effectively across time zones with all levels of the organization to achieve results and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with enthusiasm and under pressure
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training and compliance requirements
  • Ability to maintain valid passport with flexibility for international and overnight travel.
