The Childrens Justice Center is a homelike facility which serves children and families who are experiencing the crisis and chaos that comes with the disclosure of significant physical or sexual abuse of a child.

Assistant Clinical Coordinator - Applicants must have status with the State of Utah as a Social Service Worker (SSW) or equivalent under the Mental Health Professional Practice Act (UCA 58-60).

The Opportunity:

Assistant Clinical Coordinator - Under general guidance and direction of the assigned supervisor assesses individual client needs provides crisis intervention facilitates the provision of appropriate services and referrals and monitors the progress of individual child abuse victims. Coordinates client case management services.

Victim Advocate Coordinator - Under general guidance and direction Clinical Supervisor Childrens Justice Center (CJC) assists victims of crime through the investigation and judicial process. Provides information regarding Child Protective Services and legal process investigation process and resources such as shelter treatment education legal assistance and financial aid. Recruits screens trains and supervises community volunteers to assist with serving children onsite and work with child victims as mentors for a six-month period.

Starting Pay: Grade 722 $26.74 - $30.74 Hourly

Schedule: Monday and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Job Qualifications: Assistant Clinical Coordinator

1. Bachelors Degree in Social Work Psychology or a related field.
2. Two (2) years of direct experience working in a child-related clinical social services or primary education setting.
OR
3. Masters Degree in Social Work Psychology or a related field.

4. Applicants must have status with the State of Utah as a Social Service Worker (SSW) or equivalent under the Mental Health Professional Practice Act (UCA 58-60).

Job Qualifications: Victim Advocate Coordinator

1. Bachelors degree in social or behavioral science or a related field.
2. Two (2) years of experience working in a professional capacity with children/youth.
3. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

Preferred Candidates will possess some of the below attributes:
1. Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
1. Applicants must possess a valid drivers license and obtain a valid State of Utah drivers license within sixty (60) days of employment.
2. Selected applicants will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
