SUMMARY
The TAC has the ability to assist instructors and staff in interpreting and translating Job Corps policy changes into action. With authorization from the NPC the TAC may direct and advise Job Corps field staff and instructors on the day-to-day operations of training programs and placement services. The TAC has the willingness capability and professionalism to assist and collaborate with all Job Corps partners internal and external in the improvement of training programs and coordination of placement services for students and to help resolve issues. The TAC has the insight practical experience and technical skills to facilitate organizational and programmatic modifications that meet the ever-changing demands of the industry and employers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Jointly serves as the point of contact with the Administrative Assistant for the Job Corps Data Center and other Job Corps entities
- Responsible for maintaining physical and electronic Job Corps files and records.
- Collaborates with the Finishing Trades Institute to assist instructors and field staff in the development and access of skills and safety training applications and certifications.
- Effectively monitor program performance trends and assist the government in the collection and accurate documentation of graduate placement information and to maintain program records.
- Ensures the effective delivery of training and technical assistance to Instructors/students
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the trainings and technical assistance and implements efforts to enhance their quality and capacity of Instructors
- Performs other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for supervising field staff and instructors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Visionary with a strong background and experience as a Job Corps/registered apprenticeship instructor and in curriculum development and program evaluation. Organizational skills and technical expertise to monitor program performance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
All the above- mentioned qualifications are evidenced through the following elements:
• Academic credentials from a post-secondary educational institutions
• Direct related training
• Direct related experience
