Join the team at Gold Coast Private Hospital as a Registered Nurse (Scrub Scout)! Were looking for experienced professionals to bring their skills to our Day Surgery team on a casual basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team ensuring exceptional patient care is being delivered.

With 22 operating theatres Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including but not limited to 24/7 Emergency Care Medical Services Orthopaedics Bariatrics Neurosurgery Plastic Surgery ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) General Surgery Obstetrics Cardiac Care and Oncology.

As a Registered Nurse (Scrub Scout) your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use
• Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in passing instruments and anticipating the needs of the surgeon
• Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during surgeries
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information
• Adhere to hospital policies procedures and safety protocols

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of 12 months experience as an RN Scrub Scout
• Scrub scout experience in multiple specialties or a willingness to learn
• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Commitment to Quality Patient care
• Confident to liaise and support VMOs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations
• Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment
