Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with experience in hyperscale and colocation data center facility design to join our growing Data Center practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in large scale concrete and steel structures a proven track record delivering fast paced technology / industrial projects and a passion for advancing low carbon and resilient design strategies.

This individual will lead structural design efforts from concept through construction coordinate across disciplines and support clients in the development of next generation data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings including hyperscale and colocation type facilities.

  • Develop design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels precast structures steel framing systems and deep and shallow foundations.

  • Coordinate design deliverables with architectural civil MEP and construction teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and client standards.

  • Oversee preparation of construction documents specifications and calculations ensuring quality code compliance and technical excellence.

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.

  • Engage with clients contractors and review authorities to address technical queries and design clarifications.

  • Support business development proposal writing and conceptual structural design for new pursuits.

  • Travel as needed for project related activities such as client meetings and site visits.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

  • Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE).

  • 10 years of professional experience in building structures design and analysis.

  • 3 years of experience specifically in data center mission critical or large scale logistics/industrial facilities.

  • Proficiency with BIM ACC (Revit) ETABS RISA RAM SAP2000 Safe etc.

  • Strong understanding of tilt-up and precast concrete systems steel design seismic design and foundation systems.

  • Demonstrated experience with low embodied carbon materials and sustainable structural design approaches.

  • Excellent communication coordination and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams.

  • Ability to interpret and apply national and local building codes.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 5 years of experience with data center facilities and familiarity of data center specific design standards and structural resiliency requirements.

  • LEED Envision or active leader in SE 2050 implementation.

  • Expertise in low embodied carbon materials sustainable structural systems and emerging industry best practices.

  • U.S. Citizenship


Additional Information :

  • Relocation support is not available for this role.
  • Hybrid work location model fully remote work is negotiable.
