We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing ensuring accuracy compliance and timely execution. The Payroll Expert will collaborate with HR finance and management teams to maintain payroll records resolve discrepancies and implement best practices in payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees ensuring compliance with federal state and local regulations.
Maintain and update payroll records including new hires terminations salary changes and deductions.
Review and verify timesheets overtime and attendance records.
Calculate wages benefits bonuses and deductions accurately.
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports as required by law.
Address employee queries regarding payroll deductions and benefits.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with accounting.
Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
Ensure confidentiality and security of employee payroll data.
Generate payroll-related reports for management and auditing purposes.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Human Resources or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations tax laws and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. ADP Paychex QuickBooks Payroll or similar).
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Certification (e.g. Certified Payroll Professional - CPP) is a plus.
Hourly Pay Rate:
$32 - $45 per hour
