About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail orientedFinance Assistant to join our busy finance team. This role is an excellentopportunity for someone looking to build or further develop their career in a legalsetting supporting the day to day running of our client and office accounts ina fast paced professional environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing financial transactions in line withregulatory requirements including both client and office accounts
  • Carrying out daily bank reconciliations andmonitoring account balances
  • Managing incoming and outgoing paymentsincluding CHAPS BACS and cheques
  • Monitoring and maintaining client ledgers toensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensuring full compliance internal financialcontrols and industry regulations
  • Assisting with purchase ledger and sales ledgerprocessing
  • Supporting month end and year end financialreporting activities
  • Handling petty cash and expense claimsefficiently
  • Liaising with fee earners externalstakeholders and suppliers to resolve financial queries
  • Assisting with the organisation and retrieval ofarchived files
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection andconfidentiality policies
  • Supporting general office administrationincluding filing scanning and document management
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper archiving of financial and legal documents

About You:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accountsrole (experience in a law firm is desirable but not essential)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills withexcellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financesoftware
  • A proactive approach with the ability to managemultiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and aprofessional manner
  • Commitment to always maintaining confidentialityand compliance
