What Youll Be Doing

As a Settlement Officer you will be responsible for settling and processing trades on our various fixed income settlement platforms. You must understand various complex products associated trade events (including bookkeeping activities) and other related process flows. The role will require frequent professional engagement with clients traders senior leaders and other support staff. You will need to The Settlement Officer will also be accountable for providing business identification and consultative support relative to the development analysis and identification of process changes and/or system enhancements. The incumbent will proactively analyze and recommend enhancements to the existing business processes and clearly communicate rationale and negotiate solutions which will enhance operational effectiveness. Ensure that all assigned initiatives are implemented in an effective manner within area of responsibility. Participate in meetings to answer questions as a Subject Matter Expert.

How Youll Succeed

  • Attention to detail & Analytical Skills - Exceptional attention to detail ensuring that all client agreements and trade commitments are adhered to. All trading activity is fully balanced and settled by specified SLAs without errors or breaks. Regularly participate in research and analysis of discrepancies between internal records custodians and counterparties.
  • Relationship Building - Required to respond to clients inquires and requests providing professional high quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction. You will liaise and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio assisting with trade confirmations and problem resolution.
  • Problem Solving - Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving operational or process problems. Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
  • Operational Functions - Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements. Seeks efficiencies in operational functions wherever possible. Experience with Euroclear Clearstream DTC Fed CDS Arrow Broadridge.
  • Effective Communication - Ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors tools and techniques. Communicates well upward and outward.
