The Operational Excellence & Quality Management Specialist will play an important role in the ongoing operational excellence and quality management efforts of BioScript. A business process management approach will be utilized to develop and improve our process-based Quality Management System to align the processes policies and resources required to promote our Putting Patients First culture and to continuously improve our ability to achieve our key performance indicators. This individual will assist with developing implementing and improving the processes of our quality management system.

Your Mission
- Assisting with the development implementation and ongoing continuous improvement of a process-based quality management system including but not limited to;
- Assisting with the development and implementation of the operational and QMS internal audit program (audit planning scheduling completion findings closure trending issues across network).
- Assisting completing and overseeing corrective action and root cause analysis. o Assisting completing and overseeing improvement plan development and monitoring. o Compiling and monitoring process performance data for improvement opportunities. o Monitoring and actioning customer satisfaction feedback. o Assisting with the development implementation and maintenance of a supplier management program.
- Assisting with risk assessments and monitoring mitigation plans.
- Assisting with management review preparation and execution.
- Assisting with operational process improvement projects including mapping/modelling design analysis performance monitoring and improvement and for integrating these processes into a quality management system (QMS) framework.
What You Bring to the Table
- Education:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a healthcare science or engineering related field.
- QMS Auditor certification would be an asset.
- Experience:
- 5 to 7 years experience with the development implementation certification and continuous improvement of ISO 9001 process based or GMP based quality management systems is required.
- Experience with operational process improvement initiatives preferably in a patient centered healthcare environment is considered an asset.
- Skills:
- Training and/or experience with internal audit supplier management and risk management program development and implementation. o Knowledge of pharmacy and/or infusion clinic patient support program and drug wholesale operations is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of provincial college of pharmacy and Health Canada regulations applicable to the pharmaceutical supply chain is considered an asset.
- English proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bilingualism (French and English) may be required depending on the specific role location and the needs of the organization.
Compensation: At BioScript your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role level and geographic location.
