Assist in overseeing yard operations and yard personnel in order to achieve a successful balance of customer satisfaction and yard profitability. Supervises employees appropriately & effectively.

$23 - $25 per hour annual performance based raises!

• Learn all applicable computer applications achieve forklift license receive certification for propane dispensing and understand general policies and procedures.
• Work in the yard at a branch to be determined in order to get a good understanding of the Yard and its functions.
• Work in Receiving Dispatch and Distribution in order to be familiar with the policies and procedures within these departments.
• Participate in counter sales to learn the products and customers.
• Participate in inside and outside contractor sales learning the policies and procedures along with products and customers.
• Work in and observe specialized departments such as kitchen and bath door and windows and the flooring department in order to become familiar with products and vendors.
• Understand the roles and meet members of each corporate department to include Accounting Credit A/R Human Resources Purchasing Special Orders IS Advertising and Loss Control.
• Attend vendor specific training as scheduled during the training period.
• Learn how to utilize financial reports and data to manage and make business decisions.
• Through observation hands on training and mentoring develop a firm understanding of safety management store operations EOD inventory management inventory procurement employee management merchandising advertising GM and expense management.

Knowledge of lumber yard operations is a must along with managerial communication and organization skills.
