Interim Controller
Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is searching for an experienced Interim Controller to join our team on a contract/consulting basis to provide leadership and oversight of a financial services organizations accounting operations. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting compliance and efficiency during a transitional period.

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is searching for an experienced Interim Controller to join our team on a contract/consulting basis to provide leadership and oversight of a financial services organizations accounting operations. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting compliance and efficiency during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting function including general ledger month-end close and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage cash flow budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Lead internal controls review and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Support ERP system optimization and process improvements.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 810 years of progressive accounting experience including prior Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite QuickBooks SAP).
