We invite you to learn more about our strategic plan and core priorities on our website at is seeking teachers support staff and paraprofessionals to work in the 21C after-school program. The program starts on October 6th and will run through May 28th. 21C will serve students in grades 3rd 4th and 5th. The program will run three 10 week sessions. Staff can apply to work all three sessions or just one or two sessions.

Program Session Schedule:

  • Fall: 10/6/25- 12/18/25
  • Winter: 1/12/26- 3/27/26
  • Spring: 3/30/26-5/28

Site Coordinator Role: is the point person in charge of the 21C program and responsible for the well-being of students behavioral challenges and day-to-day program operations.

Site Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Tracking daily student attendance and ensuring that the program complies with the 21CCLC guidelines and data collection needed
  • Support with other DESE required documentation and data collection such as staff and youth SAYOs
  • Attend DESE 21st CCLC training opportunities or meetings
  • Cultivate a welcoming program environment and program culture which includes setting up an inclusive program space daily and breaking down program space
  • Support program teachers in implementing PBL and enrichment offerings ensuring SEI strategies and school-day classroom expectations are ensured
  • Facilitating and developing program check-in daily circle and closing routines
  • Supporting student transitions into the program during the program and during dismissal including tracking and communicating transportation changes.
  • Facilitate the program snack which includes tracking and delivering program snacks.
  • Support in planning end-of-session program showcases.
  • Acting as the point of contact during the program for the community partners parents and staff
  • Attend meetings pertaining to 21st CCLC program
  • Additional program logistics and other daily needs

Coach/ Curriculum Development: (1-2 positions)

Support development of a curriculum outline for the STEM/Math PBL Curriculum. Align program scope and sequence with MyView priority questions and grade level standards to support synchronicity in learning after school. Hourly rate for 6-8 hours of planning & curriculum support.

Teachers needed for PBL Blocks & Enrichment Blocks. (3-4 positions)

Hours for these positions are 2:30-4:15. SPS teachers will be paid SPS contracted hourly rate.

  • Program Tutors: Monday and Tuesday
    • 2:30-3:00 small group tutoring
  • PBL Teachers: Monday and Tuesday
    • 2:30-3:00 planning time
    • 3:00-4:15 PBL/Program time
  • Enrichment Staff: Thursday and/or Friday.
    • 2:30-3:00 Planning time
    • 3:00-4:15 Enrichment Time

21st CCLC Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan for meaningful differentiated learning experiences with support from district staff coaches & site coordinators
  • Plan and implement hands-on Project Based Learning curriculum with guidance from the PBL curriculum team community partners district staff & site coordinators.
  • Ensure all outcome goals are on track to be met including academic and social-emotional skill development outcomes.
  • Engage and build relationships with students during active hands-on learning workshops
  • Support with student behaviors and program management
  • Support with DESE required documentation such as program attendance and SAYOs

Group Leaders: Support Staff (Paraporfessional/ Student Success Advisors) (2-4 positions)

Hours for these positions are 2:15-4:35. Group leaders generally work two to four days after school Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday. SPS support staff will be paid SPS contracted hourly rate.

Group Leaders are essential in supporting students and assisting site coordinators in the day-to-day operations of the program. Group Leaders will be assigned to a group of 12-16 students. Within their assigned group you will lead activities to build students social-emotional skills reinforce behavior expectations and routines and provide academic support. Group leaders will build strong positive youth-adult relationships.
