About the Role
The Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School of Design in disciplines related to their field of expertise. More specifically the Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate program Bachelor of Graphic Design as well as teach within the Communication Design postgraduate programs. Expertise in Human-centred Design Service Design UX Design and/or Information/Interaction/Experience Design would be an advantage. The Lecturer is expected to continually maintain and advance their scholarly research and/or professional capabilities. The Lecturer is also expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships links and partnerships with academic industry and professional communities.

Qualifications
Mandatory: Hold a PhD in relevant field.

About the School
The School of Design is a School comprised of the disciplines of Industrial Design Digital Design (including Animation Digital Media and Games) and Communication Design.
The School builds on RMITs leading national and international reputation in design education by creating a specific focus on emerging areas such as UX and service design design strategy and virtual and augmented reality.
It comprises approximately 100 academic and 11 professional staff and over 3000 EFT undergraduate and postgraduate students with expectations of growth.
