Were looking for an experienced Electrical & Industrial (E&I) Technician for a contract assignment in Cambridge Indiana!
This position involves installing repairing troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and control systems in an industrial manufacturing environment. Some travel between nearby plant locations may be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation repair and preventive maintenance on electrical components (conveyors control panels HMIs VFDs etc.)
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems (Allen Bradley ControlLogix CompactLogix MicroLogix)
- Diagnose and repair issues involving industrial networks (Ethernet DeviceNet Profibus ControlNet AS-I)
- Calibrate and maintain instruments (pressure temperature flow meters)
- Support machine installations upgrades and capital projects
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures at all times
- Participate in continuous improvement and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) activities
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (Technical or Vocational training preferred)
- Experience:
- 4 years in industrial electrical controls and motor control systems
- 2 years troubleshooting PLCs HMIs and control networks
- Familiarity with RSLogix 5000 / 500 and industrial automation
- Experience in food packaging or manufacturing environments a plus
- Skills:
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical prints
- Proficient with testing tools (multimeter megohmmeter etc.)
- Organized reliable and safety-focused
