Core Duties
Maintain accurate records and documentation to confirm adequate stock levels and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
Support the Store Manager in implementing departmental policies goals and objectives in line with company standards.
Oversee the movement of goods into and out of production facilities to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
Organize and maintain store layout perform cycle counts and participate in annual stock-taking exercises.
Assist in planning and executing key store activities including stock life analysis reporting and inventory lifecycle tracking.
Supervise identification sorting labeling and proper storage of items.
Monitor and oversee the transfer of mechanical and electrical parts in and out of the store.
Conduct periodic stock checks audits and reconciliation exercises in collaboration with finance audit or accounting teams.
Ensure proper categorization labeling and safe storage of spare parts and other materials.
Verify stock records for accuracy highlight discrepancies and take corrective action as approved by the Store Manager.
Keep detailed records of items received issued or transferred between store locations.
Monitor stock levels and promptly report shortages surpluses or slow-moving items.
Support the preparation and submission of inventory and operational reports to the Store Manager.
Ensure received goods are properly inspected for damage or discrepancies and coordinate follow-up actions with relevant departments.
Oversee store activities such as returning packing pricing and labeling supplies.
Rotate stock as needed and assist in the safe disposal of obsolete or damaged materials.
Maintain all relevant store documents including registers inspection reports spot check reports delivery reports waybills stock cards and release notes.
Ensure the proper use of ERP systems for stock reporting and monitoring.
Supervise and train store assistants or clerks to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Work collaboratively with multiple store units under operations including the Water Store Refinery Diesel Animal Feed and Engineering Store
Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or other authorized supervisors.
Education & Qualifications:
Minimum of HND or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Accounting Logistics or any related field.
Certification or training in Inventory Management Warehousing or ERP Systems will be an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 35 years relevant experience in store-keeping warehousing or inventory supervision within a manufacturing or production environment.
Prior experience in a multi-unit store operation (e.g. Water Store Refinery Diesel Animal Feed Engineering Store) is an added advantage.
Demonstrated experience in stock control record management and supervision of store staff.
