Position Summary | Responsible for assisting new patients through the admissions process. ensuring that patients complete required documentation prior to the start of treatment services. The admissions coordinator is responsible for completing the intake orientation and funding review for all incoming patients referred to outpatient treatment services. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | - Champions each individual patients admissions process and addresses/resolves concerns from patients/families around CKF programs.
- Maintains relevant and accurate records for each patient including treatment consents insurance information releases of information and detailed communication summaries.
- Verifies that the patient to be admitted meets all clinical and financial criteria for admission.
- Coordinates mailing and information to potential patients and referring partners as needed.
- Assists outreach efforts as designed/requested by leadership.
- Verifies insurance coverage and/or assists with self-pay patients and financial contracts.
- Coordinates patient admissions process with operations and clinical teams.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with referral partners such as EAPs physicians criminal justice other SUD treatment facilities and families.
- Communicates admissions information to the treatment team.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Able to communicate in a concise professional and courteous manner between patients agencies and personnel.
- Able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
- Monitors and manages all email correspondence.
- Support the admissions process by following up on missed admission appointments and cancellations.
- Participates in all Patient Access Department meetings.
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience | High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Certificates Licenses and Registrations | - Current valid Kansas Drivers License.
- Person Centered Case Management Certification (PCCM) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
