Your role will demand high levels of communication and alignment to adapt global branding strategies to meet local needs effectively.

About the role

Nubank is seeking a Global Marketing Director to lead the development and implementation of our global brand strategy as we accelerate international expansion. This is a critical new role focused on ensuring consistency and excellence in how our brand is expressed across markets whilesupporting local relevance and execution.

This Director is responsible for building the foundational brand frameworks enabling local market teams with guidelines and tools and driving a scalable marketing structure that balances central oversight with decentralized execution. The ultimate objective is to establish a consistent and globally recognized brand powered by shared resources aligned systems and high-performing local adaptations.

As we expand internationally the Global Marketing Director will be instrumental in defining our institutional brand positioning evaluating and executing on strategic partnerships global events sponsorships and evolving our global marketing governance.

Key responsibilities and Expectations

  • Lead the development and governance of our global brand architecture including naming systems positioning visual and verbal identity and multi-sensory brand elements.
  • Define and roll out foundational brand guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across markets.
  • Partner with local teams to advise on brand-relevant initiatives offering strategic and technical guidance.
  • Design and manage global marketing governance processes to ensure effective decision-making and brand integrity across geographies.
  • Build and evolve a lean Global Brand team ensuring collaboration and alignment with local and regional marketing functions.
  • Define clear KPIs for global brand consistency governance efficiency and market enablement.

Qualifications
Professional Experience & Education:

  • High Education in Marketing Business Communications or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 15 years of experience in marketing with a strong emphasis on brand strategy and execution in global contexts.
  • Proven track record of building rebooting and optimizing global brand functions within complex fast-paced organizations (or at least excited about that).
  • Deep experience in global transformation initiativesnavigating change scaling systems and embedding new processes.
  • Demonstrated success leading marketing/brand teams ideally across multiple regions understanding the nuances of local vs. global execution.
  • Strong understanding of digital product environments and ability to align brand strategy with evolving business models and customer needs.

Competences & Attributes:

  • Fluency in English is mandatory; Portuguese and Spanish are a plus.
  • Proven leadership track record successfully leading and scaling marketing/brand teams with adaptability to evolving objectives and business needs.
  • Strong ability to shape long-term Marketing goals vision and operationalize effectively.
  • Exceptional at connecting with teams challenging ideas and driving collaboration across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess organizational gaps and implement scalable solutions.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building processes from the ground up in a high-growth international environment.

Work Model for this Role
