This role will own operations leadership for the Controls & Accessories Supplier Account Manager team in addition to the processes aligned to obsolescence. The position will be responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts and operating cadences tied to key performance indicators for the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leads continuous improvement efforts and coaches peers on tools and strategies to benefit operating metrics. Drives operating cadences within team and supports problem solving efforts as needed.
  • Represents team as FLIGHT DECK focal
  • Partners with Operations leaders across Procurement and Supplier Management to share best practices and standardize outputs.
  • Facilitates strong partnership across key functions - including Buying Engineering Program Management etc.
  • Accountable for executing obsolescence orders in a timely manner coordinating across functions both internal and external to GE Aerospace.
  • Skilled influencer able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Operates in gray space to provide structure and process rigor.
  • Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
  • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) with at least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Sourcing/Procurement and/or Supplier Relationship Management/Customer Service

  • Experience within procurement ideally in Aerospace sector
