We are seeking a passionate P2P Director to join our growing organization. As a member of the Ascendis Pharma team you will play a crucial role in leading the global P2P function driving efficiency automation and compliance while maintaining a strong operational foundation. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on balancing strategy with execution someone who can mentor and develop talent while also rolling up their sleeves. You will have the opportunity to shape and scale a critical finance function.

You will be joining the Finance Operations team and report directly to Jette Gudmandsen VP of Finance Operations who is based in Hellerup. You will also be based in Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and inspire the P2P team fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Gain deep knowledge of P2P processes and systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Be hands-on and contribute to both daily operations and various projects
Strategic Initiatives
- Drive process optimization and automation to support scalability and efficiency.
- Aligning P2P strategy with broader finance and procurement objectives.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the P2P area and make a long-term roadmap for the area.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless end-to-end processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on P2P-related matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree and have experience from a similar position. You have proven experience in P2P or finance operations leadership role.
Furthermore you have:
- Strong understanding of P2P processes and ERP systems.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Demonstrated success in developing and mentoring team members.
- Strong experience with IT projects shared service centers and D365.
Key competencies:
You are a strong team player analytical and have a can-do attitude.
You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and can thrive in an informal open environment where innovation and change are key.
To succeed in this role we also expect you to:
- Have a hands-on mindset with willingness to dive into details when needed.
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
- A mindset and ability to drive change and continuously improve processes and ways of working
Travel: 15-30 days per year.
