The Replenishment Team are the single Business Unit team responsible for the day-to-day management of the Invent Forecasting and Replenishment System. The Replenishment Manager (RM) role is designed to oversee a team of replenishment specialists (c.6-8 direct reports) who are a conduit between the Business Units and the Invent system. They will be accountable for applying business rules and parameter inputs to the system that influence all forecasts and replenishment decisions. Greater control within this team will ensure a consistency in decision making and exert a greater control of the inputs. RM will act as a point of escalation and will own appropriate cross-functional relationships within the business to achieve this including being the main point of focus for managing supplier commercial and store feedback on in store availability.
Reporting line into a single Business Unit Head of Supply and a dotted reporting line into the Head of Hub you will be a key member of the wider Hub team partnership with Invent and as a result are accountable for the replenishment decisions made for all 18M stocking locations in BUK and Ireland stores and to fulfilment locations
The RM role is responsible for ensuring the system is setup to achieve agreed business strategy and outcomes across Availability Working Capital and operating efficiency and cost lines. This includes being a key support for the commercial teams to deliver all initiatives with optimum availability. They innovate throughout the supply chain and drive efficiencies and availability and stock holding improvements. They have influence over availability of stock to support all retail sales (c. 5Bn) and optimise store inventory position (budget c300M)
Responsible for warehouse to store replenishment for the full Boots UK and Ireland store estate and fulfilment locations (45k lines in 1900 stores 18M stocking points) with impact on sales of 5Bn and stock budgets of 300M
Responsible for ensuring the system is setup to achieve agreed business strategy and outcomes across Availability Working Capital and operating efficiency and cost lines.
Own review and actioning of system alerts and execute response to and manage exceptions. Use deep knowledge of supply chain and Boots business to optimise that response
Develop work practices to optimise the system in conjunction with the product owner and hub teams
Working with Business Unit and commercial teams to agree Business strategy. Input those outcomes into the overall Invent sysems strategy as a key member of the Hub team
They have a responsibility to use their Supply chain expertise to deliver and improve availability standards and the cash flow position enabling business growth with supporting of sales and profit.
They are responsible for continually looking for ways to improve more efficient processes and ways of working
Develop great relationships with key stakeholders/functions delivering the shared Business Unit strategy and embed the Boots Narrative in everything we do.
Leader of a team of c. 6-8 people supporting team members through coaching and development to ensure we have an effective team and taking the responsibility for the team morale and effectiveness

Please be clear on decisions this role can make and those that would require sign-off by manager or above.
Responsible for making day to day decisions that optimise the sales / demand forecast and replenishment of stock across all stores fulfilment locations. Theoretically no limit to scale of impact but controlled by system guardrails and hub team oversight

Continuous improvement is required within this role and process/ system can be challenged and alternatives proposed would achieve this via role within hub team structure. Responsible for continually looking for ways to improve identifying more efficient processes and ways of working both individually and within a team and across the wider business unit and within our supplier base looking for opportunity to drive improvements to work smarter find improved ways of increasing availability and reduce working capital create efficiencies for our warehouses and suppliers supply chains.
Supply chain expertise with good analytical and communication skills able to stakeholder manage influence and negotiate and have collaboration skills. The need to demonstrate experience and understanding of stock holding and working capital within the broader context of the needs of the business and wider Supply Chain
Analytical and organised able to work and deliver at pace. Passionate about detail and with an understanding of data analytics methods and processes as well as an SME level understanding of the Invent system and AI/ML forecasting methods
Ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbal & able to manage expectations of key stakeholders. Translating technical language into business / commercial impacts
