About the Centre

Laurel Street Kindergarten is co-located with Sparkways Early Learning Whittlesea in the Whittlesea Community Centre. Serving the tight-knit Whittlesea Community In this one room kindergarten we operate a rotation multi-age program with 5 hour sessions over 4 days Monday to Thursday

  • This is a part-time permanent position 30 hours per week
  • The rostered working days are Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 8:15 am to 3:45 pm
  • The position is covered under VECTEA terms and conditions
  • Please note: Provisionally registered teachers will not be considered for this position

  Who we are looking for

  • Minimum two years of teaching experience as an Early Childhood Teacher
  • Full VIT registration.
  • Practical expertise in including children with additional needs and in working with children and families with complex needs
  • Possess the skills to role model excellence in teachingscaffolding and documenting childrens learning in play-based child-led pedagogy.
  • Able to contribute to a child-centered friendly team.
  • Known for being positive and energetic.
  • Interested in joining a community of passionate and like-minded ECEC professionals.
  • Seeking career progression opportunities while working close to the local community.
