Reporting into the Category Director for Technology and working with the IT Leadership team you will be part of a high performing category team of 6 procurement professionals managing a substantial range of projects and stakeholder and supplier relationships.

About the role

Reporting to the Category Director for Technology and collaborating with the IT Leadership team you will be part of a high-performing category team of six procurement professionals. This team manages a substantial range of projects stakeholder relationships and supplier partnerships.

As the Procurement Lead for an allocated category within Walgreens Boots Alliances businesses outside the US your primary responsibility is to deliver the best possible value from third-party relationships by:

• Negotiating with key partnerssuch as Microsoft SAP Salesforce Oracle BT and TCS.

• Leading the development implementation and ongoing managementof commercial strategies including multi-year strategic category plans.

• Collaborating with stakeholdersto develop procurement category initiatives.

• Identifying creating and implementing initiativesto maximize value and ensure ongoing management of existing supplier contracts and relationships.

• Providing commercial leadershipto stakeholders including senior executives.

• Contributing to the continuous developmentof the Boots Procurement team.

What youll need to have

These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role.

• You can operate collaboratively within a complex environment

• You have in-depth Procurement knowledge in Technology

• You have experience delivering at pace whilst working on a wide range of initiatives

• You have industry knowledge and category insights to provide knowledge-based challenge to stakeholders and suppliers alike

• You are commercially astute with strong communication and negotiation skills and adept at applying a variety of commercial approaches to deliver value to the business
