Job Summary
An ambitious Southwark primary invites applications for a reflective and creative Year 3 Teacher to join Lower Key Stage 2 from January 2026. The Year 3 Teacher will plan before January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026. We are looking for a Year 3 Teacher who will craft memorable sequences in literacy and maths lead practical science investigations and nurture confident curious learners.
The role - Year 3 Teacher
The Year 3 Teacher will plan coherent English and mathematics units as the Year 3 Teacher; design foundation projects to develop disciplinary knowledge as the Year 3 Teacher; run small-group interventions and track progress as the Year 3 Teacher. The Year 3 Teacher will be central to phase moderation and transition work scheduled across the spring term after January 2026.
Year 3 Teacher Requirements
We seek a qualified Year 3 Teacher with QTS/PGCE or equivalent and secure KS2 practice. The Year 3 Teacher should demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies strong planning skills and a collaborative spirit. The Year 3 Teacher must be ready for pre-term planning before January 2026 induction in January 2026 and to begin teaching from January 2026.
