Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical modernization initiative for the Program Integrity Case Tracker (PICT) system. The role involves replacing the legacy case management platform supporting multiple OIG Programs-including Medicaid Program Integrity (MPI) Chief Counsel Division Surveillance Utilization Review (SUR) Acute Care Surveillance (ACS) and Targeted Queries teams-with a modern scalable and efficient solution.

The ideal candidate is a PMP-certified project management professional with deep experience managing large-scale enterprise implementations in state or federal environments. This position requires strong leadership planning and communication skills along with the ability to manage Agile teams and collaborate across business and technical stakeholders.

Work Location Policy
  • Local candidates only: Applicants must already reside in the Austin TX area (within 50-mile radius).

  • No relocation consideration: Candidates currently out of state or planning to move to Texas are not eligible.

  • Hybrid schedule: Onsite Mondays and Tuesdays; remote Wednesdays through Fridays (schedule subject to change per hiring manager).

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee project design development and implementation efforts.

  • Manage projects using feature-driven Agile methodologies ensuring deliverables align with timelines and scope.

  • Develop track and manage detailed project plans charters and work breakdown structures.

  • Identify document and mitigate project risks issues and dependencies.

  • Facilitate team meetings track milestones and communicate progress through weekly status reports (verbal and written).

  • Oversee the development of SDLC artifacts ensuring accurate translation of business requirements into technical deliverables.

  • Collaborate with sponsors business owners and technical teams to maintain alignment on objectives and priorities.

  • Support technical design discussions and ensure understanding of complex systems and business workflows.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership oversight committees and stakeholder groups.

  • Provide on-call support as needed depending on project phase.

  • Mentor and transfer knowledge to internal staff.
